The winners of the first two LFF Lyga titles played since Lithuania gained its independance from the Soviet Union faced the tough task of getting the past the 1988 European champions. Žiukas were crushed 6-0 in the 1st leg with Juul Ellerman bagging at hat-trick but they kept the scoreline to a more conservative 2-0 back in Vilnius with Numan and Brazilian legend Romario on target that night. Žiukas played the full 90 minutes of both match and in each game this long sleeved shirt was worn before being swapped after the 2nd leg. The full back went on to establish himself as an international regular making 45 appearances. This green Umbro design is the same template as worn by Northern Ireland
